We are partnering with a leading global professional services company to recruit a Snowflake Data Architect for its Cloud Services team in Sofia, Bulgaria.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an international team delivering large-scale data transformation programs for the banking and financial services sector. You’ll play a key role in designing enterprise-grade cloud data platforms, enabling regulatory compliance, modern analytics, and data-driven decision-making using cutting-edge cloud technologies.
Your Role
- Design and implement centralized Snowflake data platforms with standardized data models and reusable data products
- Architect end-to-end data pipelines using modern cloud data architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
- Develop scalable, high-performance, and cost-efficient Snowflake solutions
- Integrate data quality, metadata, and data lineage into enterprise platform designs
- Lead reporting transformation initiatives, including legacy system migrations and modern analytics enablement
- Manage business requirements, data dependencies, and solution delivery throughout transformation programs
- Coordinate testing, defect resolution, business acceptance, go-live readiness, and post-implementation support
- Define and implement data quality controls, KPIs, monitoring, and governance standards
- Design reusable data integration services using batch, streaming, APIs, and event-driven architectures
- Ensure secure, reliable, and auditable data pipelines with robust monitoring and operational support
Your Qualifications
- Fluent English
- Proven experience as a Data Architect within the banking or financial services sector
- Strong expertise in Snowflake and cloud data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience delivering regulatory data transformation and reporting initiatives, including BCBS 239
- Strong background in enterprise data modeling, including Data Vault and domain-driven design
- Hands-on experience with modern ELT/ETL technologies such as dbt, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
- Experience with data integration technologies including APIs, Kafka, and batch processing
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, data quality, and lineage frameworks
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices for cloud data platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and coordination skills within Agile delivery environments
- Experience with financial data models and enterprise reporting transformation programs is highly desirable
