HSEQ Officer / Chemical tanker fleet

About us:
2NServe is a Burgas-based company. Part of our portfolio is providing support to the fleet of Ernst Jacob (Hamburg), manager of a growing fleet of chemical tankers. We are adding an HSEQ Officer to the team.

The role:
You will run the fleet's Safety Management System day to day and encourage crews and shore staff to follow it. You will be based in our Burgas office and travel to the vessels for audits and inspections.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct internal audits on board, and prepare vessels and staff for external and third-party audits
- Follow up non-conformity and near-miss reports and make sure they are closed on time
- Liaise with accreditation bodies and regulatory authorities on audits and on changes to codes and standards
- Investigate accidents and incidents and write the reports; analyse accident, incident and audit data and report on trends and the state of the system
- Promptly advise management of any significant events affecting, or likely to affect, the safety, quality and environmental management system
- Run safety campaigns on identified areas of concern
- Review minutes of management reviews, vessel reviews and shipboard safety meetings, and make sure the issues raised are resolved
- Support the vessels on all safety, environmental and quality matters
- Organize HSEQ training and keep the training records
- Prepare for and take part in the annual Management Review
- Act as Company Security Officer under the ISPS Code
- Maintain the TMSA self-assessment and support SIRE 2.0, CDI and other vetting inspections
- Coordinate the random drug and alcohol testing program with the service provider
- Cooperate with the Qualified Individual organization
- Take part in interviewing and appraising Masters, Chief Officers and Chief Engineers
- Serve on the office Emergency Response Team

Requirements:
- Master Mariner or Chief Engineer certificate of competency, a degree in nautical studies or marine engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- Seagoing experience as a deck officer or engineer
- Good computer skills
- Fluent English
- Excellent communication skills, and confidence dealing with people at all levels and from all backgrounds
- Tact and maturity, and the ability to build trust and cooperation with crews and colleagues

An advantage:
- Chemical tanker experience
- Internal auditor (ISM / ISO) or Company Security Officer training

We offer:
- Net monthly salary of EUR 3,200 – 3,500, depending on qualifications and experience
- Permanent, full-time employment contract with 2NServe Ltd
