Purpose Statement
• To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all public areas, corridors and lockers.
• To ensure proper set up in public areas as per Housekeeping manual.
• To clean officer’s rooms and crew areas.
• To always keep lockers and cleaning equipment tidy and organized.
• To provide an excellent service and to deal with guest complaints and comments in an efficient and timely manner.

General Responsibilities
• To clean and maintain public areas: Public restrooms, Pool area, guest gym, Palm Court, lobby area dk 3 and dk 2, staircases, guest laundry, additionally for Riverside Mozart: Changing rooms with showers and toilets, Connoisseur Club. This includes dusting, vacuuming, cleaning windows, wiping floors, walls or ceilings, polishing decorations, sanitizing, carpet and furniture spot cleaning.
• To ensure proper set up in public areas as per Housekeeping manual.
• To clean and maintain crew areas: crew mess, crew corridors, crew gym. This includes cleaning and sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, wiping floors, walls and ceilings.
• To provide officers with housekeeping service according to established standards and procedures including delivering uniforms, making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash, replenish towels following the Good Hygiene Practice procedures.
• To set up / to remove set up from Vista deck and area in front of Palm Court (Riverside Mozart) and to clean sunbeds and sofas.
• To clean crew mess after breakfast, lunch and dinner and refill towel napkins, soap and hand disinfectant when necessary.
• To perform general cleaning of crew mess or other assigned areas as per Assistant/Executive Housekeeper instructions.
• To ensure all working equipment is presentable and in good condition.
• To ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly and securely stored away when not on duty.
• To always keep lockers clean and tidy in accordance to safety rules and regulations.
• To use the proper chemical product for different surfaces, as instructed.
• To report any maintenance issues of working equipment.
• To report any maintenance issues in assigned public or crew areas and write them in maintenance book. Major issues to be reported to Assistant / Executive Housekeeper.
• To follow up on reports in a timely manner.
• To follow and execute shower head sanitation procedure as scheduled and sign the logs.
• To check assigned areas for bed bugs and sign the logs every month.
• To follow and execute all the others sanitations as per Assistant /Executive Housekeeper instructions.
• To check and clean public toilets at least every hour and sign the logs.
• To assist Suite attendants on daily basis by to collecting dirty linen, towels and bringing to the laundry.
• To assist on Embarkation day with stripping the linen, removing dirty towels and garbage from the disembarking suites or any additional task as per Assistant/Executive Housekeeper instructions.
• To assist with the luggage on Embarkation/Disembarkation day.
• To participate the loadings and garbage offload.
• To help in the laundry when needed.
• Greet the guests in all public areas of the ship.
• Work as part of a team and communicate with Housekeeping department team and other departments to ensure excellent quality and service.
• To participate the trainings and to follow the procedures as per Housekeeping manual and trainings at all the time.
• To adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures, Manuals and Directives.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned, but not limited to the above.
Financial Responsibilities
• To be cost conscious with the use of cleaning materials, linen, towels and other consumables.
• To be cost conscious with locker inventory.
• To ensure that Company property is always maintained properly and treated with respect.
Safety Responsibilities
• To always use proper Personal Protective Equipment in work areas.
• To comply with In Port Manning duties as scheduled and as required by Company policy.
Emergency Duties
• To follow instructions noted on safety card.
• To participate in crew drills as per instructions.
• Other safety responsibilities, as assigned, but not limited to the above.
Education/Position Requirements
• High school Degree/Diploma
• Experience in a luxury hotel or on board a luxury cruise ship preferred.
• Previous Housekeeping experience beneficial.
• Very good spoken English
• Good communication skills.
• Must have very good organizational skills and show attention to detail.
• Must have initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
• Must be service minded with an outgoing, charming and friendly personality.
Team Communication and Meetings
• To attend meetings with the Housekeeping department as scheduled by the
Executive Housekeeper
