Finance Operations Manager Accounts Payable and Receivable

global organization in the chemical and manufacturing industry to find an Accounts
Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager for their evolving Shared Service Center in Sofia.
About the Role:
As an Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Manager, you will lead and shape end-to end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations within a Shared Service Center environment. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting business transformation, and building strong, collaborative relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop a high-performing AP and AR team, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement; • Oversee day-to-day AP and AR operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing across multiple entities; • Ensure smooth month-end and year-end closing in line with internal timelines and controls; • Monitor service performance and key KPIs, proactively addressing risks and improvement opportunities; • Drive process standardization, automation, and efficiency within the Shared Service Center; • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and manage escalations effectively; • Support audits, transitions, and transformation initiatives related to AP and AR activities.
Who We're Looking For:
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; • 5–8 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or Shared Service Center operations; • At least 2–3 years of people management experience in an SSC or similar environment; • Strong experience working in multi-country, multi-entity setups; • Solid operational knowledge of SAP FI/SD/MM and strong Excel skills; • Experience with process transitions, migrations, or finance transformation initiatives; • Extensive experience with SAP R/3; • Confident communicator with a collaborative, people-oriented leadership style; • Fluency in English; • Proficiency in additional European languages such as German, French, or Spanish is a strong advantagе.
