Purchasing & Logistics Specialist for our Logistic department

In connection with the large volume of work of our client, we are looking for:
Purchasing & Logistics Specialist for our Logistic department
Evaluating different suppliers based on quality, timeliness, and price.
Selecting suppliers, build and maintains relationships with vendors/carriers.
Prepares and processes purchase orders for materials, services, and equipment.
Drafts, explains, and implements instructions, policies, and procedures for purchasing and contract management.
Ensuring purchases meet the criteria of the company.
Managing daily purchasing/transport activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, as well as other commercial conditions, crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms.Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.
Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
Working to improve transport/purchasing systems and processes.
Developing, leading, and executing purchasing strategies.
Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
Working with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency.
Ensure carrier/vendors compliance with company policies.
Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues.
Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
Knowledge about the claim processes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree / minimum.
Experience as a purchasing or logistics manager / or a similar role / at least 2 years
Solid understanding of supply chain management, logistics and inventory management.
Supervisory and management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
SAP knowledge would be an advantage
Fluent English is preferable
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong planning and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently.
Research and analytical skills.
Interpersonal skills.
