About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team at O’Learys Harstad.
The position is full-time, approximately 165 working hours per month.
The salary is approximately €3,000–€3,800 gross per month, depending on experience, qualifications and agreed employment conditions.
The position includes daytime and evening shifts, as well as weekend work according to the schedule.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve dishes according to O’Learys recipes and standards.
- Maintain consistently high food quality.
- Prepare and organize your workstation before and during service.
- Check, receive and store delivered goods correctly.
- Follow Norwegian food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and organized.
- Work closely with the rest of the kitchen and restaurant team.
- Perform efficiently during busy service periods.

English Language Requirement
Good English is mandatory for this position.
The candidate must be able to communicate clearly in English with colleagues and management, understand instructions, recipes, safety procedures and daily workplace communication.
Norwegian is not required when starting the position.

Holiday Pay – Feriepenger
Employees working in Norway are entitled to holiday pay, known as “feriepenger,” in accordance with Norwegian law.
Holiday pay is earned based on the salary received during the previous calendar year.
The statutory minimum holiday pay rate is normally 10.2% of the holiday pay basis.
This means that holiday pay is accumulated in addition to the ordinary salary and is normally paid during the following year in connection with annual leave, or when the employment relationship ends.
Working Hours
Full-time: approximately 165 hours per month.
The work schedule may include:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekdays
- Weekends
Schedules are prepared according to the operational needs of the restaurant.
Accommodation
To make relocation from Bulgaria to Norway easier, we provide:
Free furnished accommodation for the first 3 months of employment.
This allows the successful candidate to start working and settle in Harstad without paying rent during the first three months.
