QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

In connection with the large volume of work of our client, we are looking for:
QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST who will be a true business partner to Production and play a key role in developing and maintaining our Quality and Food Safety Management Systems. We are looking for someone who not only identifies non-conformities but also investigates root causes, drives improvements, and works closely with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance of production processes and finished products with company standards, legal requirements, and Quality Management Systems.
• Maintain, develop, and monitor Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, including IFS, BRC, HACCP, and other applicable standards.
• Plan, organize, and conduct internal audits and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Participate in external audits, customer audits, certification audits, and follow-up activities.
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformities by performing root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare reports and analyses to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Deliver training and provide guidance to employees on Quality Management Systems, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Food Safety requirements.
• Participate in projects aimed at process optimization and continuous improvement of quality management systems.

We are looking for a professional who has:
• University degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Quality Management, or another relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar Quality Assurance role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on experience in implementing, maintaining, and improving Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Practical experience in planning and conducting internal audits, as well as participating in certification and customer audits.
• Excellent knowledge of IFS, BRC, HACCP, and other food safety and quality standards.
• Good knowledge of Bulgarian and European food safety legislation.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with technical documentation.
• Proactive mindset, initiative, and excellent collaboration skills.
