We are currently looking for a Payments Operations Specialist for one of our clients – an international company operating in the financial services sector.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized professional to join the team on a 1–2-year maternity cover contract. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company's financial operations across multiple international entities, ensuring seamless payment processing, reconciliation, reporting, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Collection & Management
• Manage merchant and affiliate payment collections, including the full proforma-to-invoice process.
• Issue payment requests, reminders, invoices, and record incoming payments.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and upload all relevant documentation.
• Monitor overdue balances and manage merchant account statuses.
• Oversee daily transaction monitoring, archiving, and posting of inbound and outbound payments.
Payment Execution & Settlement:
• Manage the complete invoice lifecycle, from posting into the accounting system to payment execution.
• Process high-volume partner settlements accurately and on time.
• Coordinate salary, insurance, tax, and VAT payments following internal approval procedures.
Reconciliation & Reporting:
• Perform regular reconciliations across banking, PSP, and payment accounts.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for senior management.
Operational Support:
• Monitor company liquidity and payment account balances.
• Manage relationships with banking partners and payment providers.
• Support compliance processes, including KYC/AML requirements.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready financial documentation and company records.
What We're Looking For:
• 5+ years of experience in Finance Operations, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Treasury, or a similar role.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with financial software and collaboration tools such as Monday.com, Asana, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to work with confidential financial information.
