Payments Specialist

As a Payment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless, secure, and timely financial transactions for our platform, enabling customers to deposit, withdraw, and manage their funds effortlessly. Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Management: Process, verify, and reconcile all financial transactions, including deposits and withdrawals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Fraud Prevention: Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and potential fraud, taking necessary action to prevent financial losses.
- Customer Support: Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve payment-related issues, providing timely assistance to customers facing transaction difficulties or disputes.
- Integration & Optimization: Work closely with development and IT teams to integrate payment gateways, improve payment flows, and optimize the transaction process for a better customers experience.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of payment transactions, generating regular reports for internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Stay updated with relevant financial regulations and industry standards to ensure all payments comply with legal requirements.
- System Monitoring: Continuously monitor payment processing systems to ensure they function smoothly without interruption, and work to quickly address any technical issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payment processing, financial transactions, or a similar role, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
- Familiarity with major payment platforms and methods (credit/debit cards, digital wallets, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of fraud prevention, chargebacks, and risk management in financial transactions.
- Experience with payment gateway integrations, APIs, and troubleshooting payment-related issues.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to solve complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work with internal teams and players, especially in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of the online industry, including its regulations and payment systems, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with payment solutions like PayPal, Stripe, Skrill, Neteller, and other industry-specific platforms.
- Familiarity with data security protocols such as PCI-DSS and GDPR.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and payment reporting systems.
